With countless thousands of clients over a 20+ year career, Miguel is constantly sought out by Retreat Leaders to guide their groups on a magical adventure in these ancient mystical lands, to share his vast knowledge, dazzling array of musical skills via Sound Healing Journeys, and specific spiritual practices to guide his participants deeper than they imagined they'd go.
For more than two decades Miguel has been teaching people how to successfully have the mystical experience, connect with Sedona's sacred energies, release stored emotional baggage, align with their Higher Self / I AM Presence, and connect to Higher states of consciousness through Meditation, Breathwork, Qigong, Sound Journeys, and Energy Work. His life-altering methods are the culmination of everything he has learned through more than 2,000 clients and more than 2,000 hours of personal devotional experimentation. It is a systematic ceremonial process featuring some of the most powerful spiritual techniques on earth which he has mastered, in both personal experience and the ability to teach and transmit.

Most of Miguel’s clients have struggled for decades with overactive minds, stress, cynicism, and fear. Many have labored fruitlessly on the spiritual path by reading zillions of books, but never got close to the direct experience of bliss and alignment with the higher self – an experience which is DEEPLY felt and cannot be mistaken for something else. Experiencing Spirit is an exercise in Love and Surrender, which is not exactly easy for this modern culture, so take advantage of being masterfully guided by one who knows how to access the blissful states. Clients regularly burst into tears when they realize they have ALWAYS had the ability to connect with and feel the Divine. Miguel's passion for the Southwest is likely in his DNA. His Spanish ancestors were among the first non-military settlers who arrived into the Southwest by ship in 1598. Miguel has guided thousands of very-satisfied clients to spectacular Northern Arizona locations since 2003.
He is highly skilled at almost every kind of tour and spiritual session imaginable, from hiking adventures to mystical energy experiences, to Grand Canyon majesty, and sacred Indian Ruins. His guests often joke about wanting to "take him home and adopt him," so endearing is he in their hearts - very telling of the magical experiences that are so commonplace on his outings.
Miguel Montoya is a renowned Holistic/Spiritual Practitioner, an accomplished Sacred Land Guide, and a published Writer living in Sedona, Arizona. He graduated Cum Laude from Arizona State University in both Writing and Communications. He has a multitude of holistic skills, gained through apprenticeships and formal routes of study. Miguel is a highly skilled teacher of an extraordinary martial art form known as Primordial Qigong/Tai Chi for Enlightenment, certified by Qigong Master Michael Winn, the founder of the Healing Tao USA Qigong Center. Master Winn calls Primordial Qigong, “the crown jewel of China’s spiritual development,” and has said, “Miguel is one of the most dedicated teachers of Primordial Qigong.” Miguel is also a proud student of Qigong Master Zhou Ting-Jue, a formally recognized “National Treasure” in his homeland China.
Miguel has established himself as one of Sedona's most highly sought-after practitioners, honored as one of the "best of the best" by two of Sedona’s most successful retreat companies which retained his services for nearly two decades. He has also enjoyed popularity as a magazine writer for Four Corners Magazine for five years, interviewing such heavy hitters as James Redfield, Gregg Braden, Qigong and Tai Chi Masters, and cutting-edge leaders in the field of consciousness and health.
Miguel is commonly recognized as an evolved soul in a youthful body by a variety of spiritual teachers. Sedona is known for its world-class spiritual teachers and healers, and Miguel has earned the highest respect from his spiritual retreat colleagues due to the overwhelming praise he continually receives from clients. However, Miguel is most honored and deeply humbled to have received unexpected compliments about his spiritual attainment from venerated Avatar, the Divine Mother Sri Karunamayi, of whom he has been associated with since 2004; and also from highly accomplished Western master and teacher of Kunlun Nei Gung, Max Christensen – each of whom offered unanticipated praise regarding specific attainments on more than one occasion. For these reasons, Miguel is especially confident in the validity of the techniques he so passionately shares.

Through intense emotional hardship, Miguel battled chronic depression, drug abuse, and significant health issues to regain not just good health, but radiant well-being in mind, body, and spirit. Through suffering he awakened to his spiritual purpose and cultivated the empathic knowledge to effectively guide sufferers out of pain by offering practical, uplifting steps that nourish the mind, body and being on all levels. Everything he shares with guests he practices himself, and has painstakingly researched and experienced a multitude of healing modalities, technologies, and techniques in order to bring his clients the very best. He is highly adept at creating a sacred atmosphere for his guests due to his sensitivity, calming presence, compassion, and intuition. This has developed in him a rare, intuitive gift for bringing about high states of consciousness in his guests. It is common for participants to share their stories of awakenings, visions, ancient memories, and powerful emotional and spiritual experiences.
